Music for Healing and Reducing Stress
It’s well-known that listening to music can help you to relax and wind down. There is a whole niche industry based around creating relaxation or chill out music, and music for massage or Reiki.
However there is a particular kind of music that has been proven to be good for your health, and for improving your memory, concentration and ability to learn new information.
This is a form of classical music which comes from the Baroque era.
You don’t have to like this kind of music as it will benefit your health whether you enjoy listening to it or not.
There have been a lot of headlines in the media about the Mozart Effect and its impact on children’s development and on healing.
Music by Bach is particularly good for your health. Having the music on in the background can be relaxing. However there is a special way to listen to this kind of music which is very health-enhancing.
1. You will need to connect your iPod, Mp3 or CD player to travel speakers or “pillow speakers”.
2. Place your iPod or music player under your navel and just above your pubic bone.
3. Play Baroque music for fifteen minutes daily (or as long as you like, if you enjoy this kind of music). The music will resonate powerfully with your body creating a healing vibration.
This method of listening to music is particularly helpful for people who suffer from General Stress syndrome.
Our vertebrae have holes in them. Each hole responds and resonates to a different note on the musical scale. This happens with all kinds of music.
However a great deal of modern music promotes negative vibrations in the body and can create stress.
Baroque music resonates naturally with the human body relieving stress and creating healing.
Nutri-Calm – Day 17
Over the past week, I’ve been falling asleep much more easily and I wake up feeling as if I’ve had a healthy amount of sleep, no matter what the duration of sleep.
I’m generally feeling calmer and there is a much less sense of urgency and hurry in everyday life.
I’ve noticed small changes like enjoying the conversation between the cashier and a customer in a long supermarket queue instead of wishing they would hurry up and glancing impatiently at my watch.
The Nutri Calm tablets seem to have an accumulative effect. I didn’t notice much change in the beginning but now the improvements are much more obvious.
Nutri Calm tablets contain Vitamin C. In times of great stress, our bodies require large amounts of Vitamin C to restore the natural balance.
Stop Stress – Start Success
10 Holistic Steps for Achieving Your Goals
Reduce your stress levels when reaching for big goals by following these ten steps.
1. Visualise your desired outcome in detail and write it down.
2. Plan the steps you need to take to manifest your goal.
3. Carry out the steps you need to take immediately. Speed of implementation is important to maintain the momentum.
4. Get in touch with the appropriate people that can make your dream a reality. If you don’t have the necessary experience, seek advice from people who have done it before.
5. Be prepared. Know exactly what is required.
6. Demonstrate that you have the relevant knowledge and experience to everyone you meet. Anyone you encounter may potentially know someone who knows someone who can help you achieve what you need.
7. Don’t focus on what other people may be thinking about you. This is a major distraction.
8. Keep working at obstacles in your path until you find a solution.
9. Know your “enemy” – forewarned is forearmed. Research, get background information. Who are your competitors? On the other hand, your greatest enemy may be yourself. So work on your inner demons.
10. Exude a positive energy and radiate self-belief. If you are scared, imagine how you would act if you were confident. And then act as if you are confident.
Stopping the Spread of Viruses
Flu and Swine Flu Prevention
Swine flu has been hitting the headlines since March-April 2009.
When we cough or sneeze, we are urged to ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ by the various media campaigns – in other words, to cover our face with a tissue and then throw the tissue in a bin.
Good hygiene reduces the transmission of ALL viruses (including human swine flu).
So we are also being encouraged to:
• clean hard surfaces
• wash our hands frequently
But what else can you do to reduce the spread of bacteria?

Nutri-Calm – Day 6
I took a break over the Christmas holiday with this experiment and I resumed yesterday. So there are still 24 days to go with this.
I had some initial insomnia last night but once I fell asleep, I stayed asleep.
I slept deeply and had a lucid dream before awakening. I felt quite nourished by the night’s sleep and I think it was down to resuming taking the Nutri-Calm supplement.
Nutri-Calm tablets are quite big but they are chewable. They have a slightly bitter taste. They are to be taken three times a day with meals.

Types of Insomnia – Part Two
Do you suffer from insomnia?
Can you remember what was going on in your life when it first started?
Or can you pinpoint an incident, memory or even a conversation which may have triggered it off?
Finding the solution to insomnia may depend on the type of insomnia you are experiencing.
Some people experience short-term or transient insomnia which may last from one night to about three weeks.
Short-term insomnia may be caused by:
* stress
* noise
* too much heat or cold in the bedroom
* jet lag
* change of environment such as a hotel, university
* anxiety the night before an exam
* distress the night after an argument
Bereavement may cause short-term or long-term insomnia.
Chronic insomnia lasts a month or more. It is also known as primary insomnia.
People are diagnosed with chronic insomnia if their difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep has had a major impact on their ability to function socially or professionally and caused emotional distress.
Insomnia can also be a symptom of another illness such as depression, arthritis, kidney problems, heart problems, overactive thyroid or bipolar disorder.
It can also be caused as side effect due to taking certain types of medication.

Types of Insomnia
The solution to an insomnia condition may depend on the type of insomnia that you experience.
Some people have trouble falling asleep.
Some people fall asleep easily but have problems staying asleep.
Others may wake up too early in the morning and feel as if they have had a poor quality of unrefreshing sleep.
Others are plagued by nightmares.
Then there are some people who could sleep if they wanted to but for psychological reasons do not wish to sleep and stay up to prolong their “day”.
Sometimes your sleep problems may be caused by external conditions such as noisy neighbours, loud music, crying babies that need feeding or a sick family member that needs constant attention.
Three types of conditions are:
- Initial Insomnia
- Middle Insomnia
- Terminal Insomnia
Initial insomnia is where it takes you a very long time to get sleep. In some cases, once a person with this condition manages to fall asleep, they manage to stay asleep.
Middle Insomnia is sometimes also called middle-of-the-night insomnia or sleep maintenance insomnia. As the name suggests, it’s when people habitually wake up in the middle of the night and are unable to get back to sleep.
Terminal Insomnia is the case where a person wakes up too early in the morning and is unable to get back to sleep.
If you fall into this category, you need to ascertain whether you are able to function healthily during the day with the hours of sleep that you do get.
(If you are physically and mentally comfortable during the day with the amount of sleep that you do get, then it may be that you are a “short sleeper”.)
